Leukaemia Foundation: Light The Night - Benalla - Fundraiser

A BIG THANKYOU to everyone who supported this event. Kate raised over $11,000.00 thanks to your generosity. The Benalla Walk was held at the Rose Gardens and Benalla Rotary Club brought along their fantastic BBQ and cooked sausages and hamburgers to satisfy our hunger. They were fantastic.  There was also a mobile coffee van selling a wide assortment of drinks. The children were entertained with face painting and nail polish and the line up was long. We were privileged to hear 3 speakers who have been touched by this form of cancer, from 3 different situations. One gentleman lost a family member, another lady is in remission, and my niece Kate is still fighting and hopeful of remission. We were entertained by a young man playing guitar and singing which was lovely. Following the speeches and raffle draws the lantern walk around the gardens was the finishing highlight of the evening, just after sunset. A big crowd this year gathered their lanterns and joined in on the walk along t
