Great Places To Visit - Doncaster East, Melbourne, Mullum Mullum Walking Track

Just because I'm currently in the city for awhile doesn't mean I have to "miss out" on my daily bush walks. Nearby to us is the Mullum Mullum Creek Trail. It's fantastic for walking. A track shared by walkers, joggers, and cyclists.  Right beside us is Currawong Bush Park and the track goes through it. In the other direction it heads off through parklands in Doncaster East and Templestowe.  I'm certainly enjoying my daily walks now that I've discovered this trail. Have a look for yourself, it's very picturesque. I have found myself talking to walking groups, people walking dogs, a quick "hello" to cyclists and walking alongside fellow walkers and having a chat.  It seems to be a very popular track.  Today I even passed a group of Bushwalkers!! Well, they passed me as they were going in the opposite direction. I stopped and chatted with a lady who was out walking her dog and then enjoyed the beautiful scenery as I continued along. Great way to...

Spring is in the air. Darebin Parklands walk with Miss Lily.

Well even though it's still cold, the trees etc seem to think that Spring is coming. Blossoms are blooming everywhere.  Miss Lily and I enjoyed the wide variety of them in Darebin Parklands this morning. Lovely day for a walk.  Miss Lily even met some doggy friends and had some fun playing.  Now snoring loudly in her bed beside me.  Guess all that fresh air wears a little girl out!

Great Places To Visit - Melbourne Botanical Gardens - Shrine of Remembrance - Melbourne - Victoria - Australia

Hubby, Miss Lily and I spent a very pleasant sunny day in the Melbourne Botanical Gardens recently. As we wandered about enjoying the views we stumbled out onto St. Kilda Rd and found ourselves at the Shrine of Remembrance. Legacy were having their service there at the foot of the Shrine in the beautiful sunshine. Great views of the city from here as well. Such a lovely way to spend some time in Melbourne. The Botanical Gardens were lovely even though there isn't much in flower at this time of year. Lots of people, families, dog clubs, walkers, runners and tourists were out enjoying the sunshine as well. There are a couple of spots where you can get a nibble and a coffee, if you don't mind waiting, and in this beautiful weather, we didn't mind.  Lovely way to spend some quality time together and get some exercise walking.
