Great Places To Visit - Fremantle WA - Australia

Spending a few weeks in beautiful historic Fremantle WA.  Lovely spot.  Lots of history. Very friendly people. Free buses (called Cats) which travel in 2 different loops (blue cat and red cat) in the area. Great to hop on and off to check out different locations/tourist spots, etc.  We are staying at a B and B, separate self contained unit only 10minutes walk from the Fremantle markets.  Great locations. Nice unit. There is a Fremantle cat bus stop out front! So convenient. Jump on and off to the beach or the markets, or the malls, the post office, the railway station etc, etc. It literally takes you anywhere of interest in it's long loop but it's only 15 minutes to do a full circuit. Enjoying the beautiful weather Freo has turned on for us. Highly recommend a visit to this fascinating part of Australia. The beaches here are fantastic!!!! Plenty of restaurants to pick from and all we have tried so far have been good. Benny's Bar and Cafe had to be good....our son'...

More Murray River Redgums

Where I grew up on the Murray River is still one of my favorite places to visit. I like it so much I brought a holiday house there, and retreat to its sanctuary as often as I can. Walking along the banks of the Mighty Murray in the beautiful late afternoon light is something I never get tired of doing. I find it soothes my soul, and clears my head. Can't beat a good soaking in nature to calm you, help you get your focus back and just relax and enjoy the sounds of birds and the bush around you. Works for me. Here are some pics from my latest escape. Hope you enjoy looking at them at much as I enjoyed taking them.

Chris & Alyssa Green Wedding

Flew to beautiful Brisbane for my nephew's wedding on Saturday 30th October 2010. The wedding and reception were held at Bretts Wharf. What a beautiful setting. The wedding was at 3.30pm in the lovely garden setting on the wharf, then the guests lingered and had nibbles and drinks whilst the bridal party went off for photos. When they arrived back more drinks and food flowed for the rest of the evening. There was no formal sit down dinner, just platters of food brought out continuously all night. There were breaks for speeches, cake cutting, some fun guessing games for the bride and groom, the traditional garter toss etc. During the evening when a gong would sound, everyone would head out (or turn around) to the lawn area where we were entertained by a flame thrower!! Spectacular, a very talented and no doubt hairless gentleman!! To say he was very good would be an understatement. All in all, it was a beautiful setting, a gorgeous wedding party, a r...
