Great Places To Visit-Baroosa Valley, South Australia, Wine region.

We are currently spending a week in the beautiful Baroosa Valley in S.A. Our caravan is parked at the Nuriootpa caravan park which is handy to the area's attractions. Wineries!! I am getting spoilt as Bernie doesn't drink wine, so is being my personal chauffeur. We are both enjoying the history and lovely old buildings in the area also. One place on my hit list is Maggie Beer's Farm. Contacted some friends who live in the area and met up with them for lunch there. Had a wonderful few hours together. We each picked an entree and then shared them. Great way to get to taste a variety of dishes. Maggie's produce store has a large variety of goods available for sale and the majority are available to taste test before you buy. Made sure I took full advantage of that opportunity. Delicious!!!!! Came home with a little bag of goodies. Took a tour of Chateau Tanunda, fantastic! You get a glass of bubbly to sip while you listen to your guide. Great tour. Highly recommend it...

Great Places to Visit- Kilcunda - Victoria - Australia

Well, just arrived back home yesterday from a lovely Easter break at Kilcunda. If your unaware of this little treasure, its on the coast after you go past the Philip Island turn off.  Look it up sometime, there's a caravan park and a motel for accommodation, and a pub and General Store for coffee, drinks, and food. I recommend the pub for meals, very good. We stayed with 16 friends from the Ivanhoe Photographic Society at the Kilcunda Motel. Right next to the pub, so very convenient for evening get-to-gethers. We had a great time exploring the wild coast line at "Killy", and ventured down to Inverloch, Philip Island etc as these are all easy driving distance from Kilcunda. Here are some of my favourite pics from our Easter break. Hope you all enjoyed a safe and Happy Easter as we did.

Easter Break at Camperdown, vic.

Stayed in Camperdown with the Ivanhoe Photo Club this Easter. All 18 of us had a great time. Took lots of photos. Good food, wine etc was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed dinner at the Hampden Hotel which was excellent on a couple of nights and our accommodation at the Cascade Motel was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. All together a nice relaxing break away.  We toured around the local area and down to the coast which was only a 45min drive away. Then back to Melbourne...and back to work. Ooh well, there's always next Easter to look forward to! Another venue and another adventure!
