Great Places To Visit - Swan Hill, Mildura.

Pioneer Settlement Swan Hill Murray River from the Caravan Park at Swan Hill Swan Hill on the Murray River is a nice little pioneer town. We stayed 2 nights here on the Murray River in the Caravan Park in town. Nice walk to the shops and back or a short drive if you're not up to walking. Good amenities in the park as it's all been re-done about 5 years ago.  Enjoyed out stay here. For tourists there is the Pioneer Settlement to wander through and see a bi-gone era and the history of the town. Very interesting. Moved onto Mildura for our next stop. Staying in town, at the Top Tourist Park - All Seasons.  Small park right near a shopping centre, Coles, Woolworths, Target etc. Easy walk to Coles, almost next door.  Being on the Calder Hwy it is a little noisy, but didn't bother us.  This park is small which we like.  The amenities are old, but kept clean and tidy and everything works as it should.  We are staying about 5 days. Lots to see in...

Great Places To Visit - Fremantle WA - Australia

Spending a few weeks in beautiful historic Fremantle WA.  Lovely spot.  Lots of history. Very friendly people. Free buses (called Cats) which travel in 2 different loops (blue cat and red cat) in the area. Great to hop on and off to check out different locations/tourist spots, etc.  We are staying at a B and B, separate self contained unit only 10minutes walk from the Fremantle markets.  Great locations. Nice unit. There is a Fremantle cat bus stop out front! So convenient. Jump on and off to the beach or the markets, or the malls, the post office, the railway station etc, etc. It literally takes you anywhere of interest in it's long loop but it's only 15 minutes to do a full circuit. Enjoying the beautiful weather Freo has turned on for us. Highly recommend a visit to this fascinating part of Australia. The beaches here are fantastic!!!! Plenty of restaurants to pick from and all we have tried so far have been good. Benny's Bar and Cafe had to be good....our son'...

Great Places To Visit - The Butlers Pantry - Numurkah, Vic, Australia.

Heading from Tocumwal to Melbourne you by-pass the little township of Numurkah on your left.  Literally, it's right there with a sign pointing to the town centre. So, because I could I turned left and went to the town centre. After all I was hungry, it was 9.30am, so breakfast was in order. Cruising down the main street, I saw "The Butlers Pantry", on my right at the round-a-bout. There were a couple of people in there and it looked nice, so I went around the round-a-bout and parked almost at the front door.  It's quiet at that time of day in a small country town, so no parking problems. No charges either! Walked in and looked around.  Nice.  Well laid out, nice decor, coffee aromas wafting in the air were enticing. Fronted up to the country to be met with a smiling friendly face. Asked for the breakfast menu which I was promptly given and then told to sit where ever I liked, she would be with me in a moment.  I selected a table and perused the delicious l...

Great Places To Visit - Esca Grill, 650 Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds, Victoria.

Went back to our all time favorite restaurant in Melbourne. Yep, still the best!  EVER!  AMAZING seafood, steaks, and great service.  Delicious, delicious, delicious. Can't find words.....it's that good.  I started with the mixed entree:  Prawn stuffed baby squid, chili bar-b-q prawn, and pan seared scallop.  DIVINE!!!! For mains I opted for a 250g Eye Fillet Medium.  Comes on a potato rosti.  I ordered table sides of mashed potato, broccolini, and pear, parmesan and rocket salad.  Others ordered the slow cooked lamb shoulder with roast pumpkin (for 2) Yummy, yummy, yummy.  We all shared a mixture of desserts, chocolate platter (so delish), lemon delicious pudding, a cheesecake thingy, don't know what it was but it looked great. There were 4 of us.  We ate 3 courses! Stuffed to the eyebrows with wonderful, fresh, exquisitely prepared tummy filling deliciousness.  What more can I say?  You MUST try it sometime.  ...
