Chris & Alyssa Green Wedding

Flew to beautiful Brisbane for my nephew's wedding on Saturday 30th October 2010. The wedding and reception were held at Bretts Wharf. What a beautiful setting. The wedding was at 3.30pm in the lovely garden setting on the wharf, then the guests lingered and had nibbles and drinks whilst the bridal party went off for photos. When they arrived back more drinks and food flowed for the rest of the evening. There was no formal sit down dinner, just platters of food brought out continuously all night. There were breaks for speeches, cake cutting, some fun guessing games for the bride and groom, the traditional garter toss etc. During the evening when a gong would sound, everyone would head out (or turn around) to the lawn area where we were entertained by a flame thrower!! Spectacular, a very talented and no doubt hairless gentleman!! To say he was very good would be an understatement. All in all, it was a beautiful setting, a gorgeous wedding party, a relaxed and enjoyable event. The happy couple departed the evening after the circle of departing kisses and hugs, through an archway formed by their guests loving arms. Wow, what a wedding.....what a night. It was perfect! Great Places To Visit: Tocumwal NSW on the Murray River.

Perhaps I'm a little prejudiced, as Tocumwal is my home town, but I've always loved the Murray River Red Gums and watching the river & the bird, animal life here. All year around it delights me. Even the noisy Corella's can't put me off, I love living here. So why would a visitor want to spend time in Toc? Let me list just a small few off its attractions for you: Water sports: Fishing, skiing, swimming, canoeing, and any other water play you might like. Food: We have a number of Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants & Cafes if not in town then in easy driving distant. Italy - Florence - Firenze

Lovely Florence, or Firenze as the Italians say. A pretty spot. Great to walk around. We walked from the centre of town where we were staying up to Michael Angelo's lookout. Quite a distance!! Lots and lots and lots of steps!!! AArrrr. Was good for me, I'm sure, but if there is a next time.....I'm taking the bus! The weather was kind to us for our few days in Florence, shining down on us each day. Temp was around 24 C. Not bad for the end of summer/early autumn. (Sept) Here are our "sites" from Florence.
