Luke & Eugenie's Wedding 24.3.12

On Saturday 24th March 2012, we were GUESTS (not the photographer) at our nephew's wedding. A lovely day and a fantastic time was had by all. The reception was in the city and the views were amazing. Food was plentiful and great. Thanks to Nanna Nutbean for the delicious (and fought over) sponge cakes and fruit mince pies. Here are some happy snaps I took with my pocket rocket. Left the SLR at home or I wouldn't have relaxed and enjoyed myself.Thanks Luke and Eugenie, yours was a truly beautiful wedding and one I shall remember for a long time. Great Storm to Watch - Over Tocumwal N.S.W. Australia - Mini Tornado

A mini Tornado struck Strathmerton on the weekend of October 31/10/15 destroying a couple of houses. Luckily no one was hurt. Just a bit further along the Murray River at Tocumwal the Tornado ended. We happened to be home and live near the edge of town, close to the river. We saw the sky turn pink, grey and green. Ominous. Can't remember a stormy grey sky turning pink or especially green before. Made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Then we heard this roar. Bernie looked at me as we stood on our back verandah watching the clouds flying about and said "What's that noise?" I replied, "Wind. Lots of it. I think we should go inside now." As I said this we saw the sky along the river turn green and pink and the trees begin to whip wildly. We retreated inside for a bit and as the roar died away we ventured back out to the front verandah as torrential rain began to fall. And boy did it rain!!! Great Places To Visit: Tocumwal NSW on the Murray River.

Perhaps I'm a little prejudiced, as Tocumwal is my home town, but I've always loved the Murray River Red Gums and watching the river & the bird, animal life here. All year around it delights me. Even the noisy Corella's can't put me off, I love living here. So why would a visitor want to spend time in Toc? Let me list just a small few off its attractions for you: Water sports: Fishing, skiing, swimming, canoeing, and any other water play you might like. Food: We have a number of Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants & Cafes if not in town then in easy driving distant. BIG variety for good old schnitzels, salads & chips to take-a-way favorites, great Coffee & Cakes and Bakery delights to tempt the taste buds!!
