Easter Break at Camperdown, vic.

Stayed in Camperdown with the Ivanhoe Photo Club this Easter. All 18 of us had a great time. Took lots of photos. Good food, wine etc was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed dinner at the Hampden Hotel which was excellent on a couple of nights and our accommodation at the Cascade Motel was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. All together a nice relaxing break away. We toured around the local area and down to the coast which was only a 45min drive away. Then back to Melbourne...and back to work. Ooh well, there's always next Easter to look forward to! Another venue and another adventure!

Great Places To Visit: Tocumwal NSW on the Murray River.

Perhaps I'm a little prejudiced, as Tocumwal is my home town, but I've always loved the Murray River Red Gums and watching the river & the bird, animal life here. All year around it delights me. Even the noisy Corella's can't put me off, I love living here. So why would a visitor want to spend time in Toc? Let me list just a small few off its attractions for you: Water sports: Fishing, skiing, swimming, canoeing, and any other water play you might like. Food: We have a number of Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants & Cafes if not in town then in easy driving distant. BIG variety for good old schnitzels, salads & chips to take-a-way favorites, great Coffee & Cakes and Bakery delights to tempt the taste buds!! Great Places To Visit: The Giddy Goat Cafe in Yarck, Victoria, Australia.

The Giddy Goat Cafe - Yarck As I was recently returning to Melbourne from a few days away, I decided to come from Benalla via Bonnie Doon (to check out the lake) and then through Merton, Yarck, Alexandra onto the Maroondah Hwy back to Melbourne. Nice drive, beautiful weather, great day out. When we got to cute little Yarck, we spotted this amazing looking little cottage/cafe called: "The Giddy Goat Cafe" . Intrigued by the name and the rustic looking little cottage with gardens on one side and tables & chairs we voted for a coffee stop. What a fantastic idea that turned out to be!!! The Giddy Goat has the best home cooked food, I'm talking sponge cake, slices, biscuits, oh and if you want there is hot food to die for as well, freshly cooked.
