Great Places To Visit - St. Kilda, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

We took a little stroll around St. Kilda today, just because we could. Haven't been in St. Kilda for a while, had forgotton how diverse it is and how interesting. So many Cafe's etc to dine at, great variety of foods on offer. So we stopped and had some lunch. Then right next to the main street, Lunar Park. We came across a bride and groom having their photos taken at Lunar Park, novel idea. Then a drive through Port Melbourne and the city, back to home. Nice way to spend a couple of hours.

The good thing about Lunar Park is that entry is free. You then buy tickets for the rides, if you want to, or you can just do as we did and take a look around.

Port Melbourne had the Tassie Ferry in port as well as a cruise ship.

Then we drove through the city, past Eureka Tower, over the Yarra River, and headed for home. Nice drive.

Great Places To Visit: Tocumwal NSW on the Murray River.

Perhaps I'm a little prejudiced, as Tocumwal is my home town, but I've always loved the Murray River Red Gums and watching the river & the bird, animal life here. All year around it delights me. Even the noisy Corella's can't put me off, I love living here. So why would a visitor want to spend time in Toc? Let me list just a small few off its attractions for you: Water sports: Fishing, skiing, swimming, canoeing, and any other water play you might like. Food: We have a number of Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants & Cafes if not in town then in easy driving distant. Great Places To Visit: The Giddy Goat Cafe in Yarck, Victoria, Australia.

The Giddy Goat Cafe - Yarck As I was recently returning to Melbourne from a few days away, I decided to come from Benalla via Bonnie Doon (to check out the lake) and then through Merton, Yarck, Alexandra onto the Maroondah Hwy back to Melbourne. Nice drive, beautiful weather, great day out. When we got to cute little Yarck, we spotted this amazing looking little cottage/cafe called: "The Giddy Goat Cafe" . Intrigued by the name and the rustic looking little cottage with gardens on one side and tables & chairs we voted for a coffee stop. What a fantastic idea that turned out to be!!! The Giddy Goat has the best home cooked food, I'm talking sponge cake, slices, biscuits, oh and if you want there is hot food to die for as well, freshly cooked.
